Alexandria “Allie” Pena, 23, of DeKalb, Illinois, passed away Thursday, July 4, 2024, at Kishwaukee Hospital in DeKalb.

She was born April 15, 2001 in Denver, CO, the daughter of Timothy and Amy (Hernandez) Pena.

Allie was a graduate of Sycamore High School Class of 2019. She was a student at Northern Illinois University where she was studying to be a teacher.

Allie was truly a ray of sunshine and enjoyed art, and doing makeup.  She was a cheerleader and a coach and was also a member of the dance team. 

She is survived by her parents; her brother Logan; her paternal grandparents Susan (Wesley) Knight and Santos Pena; her maternal grandparents Edward (Joann) Hernandez and Tina Hernandez; her partner Larissa Taylor; several aunts, uncles, and cousins including Joy, Nichole, and Eric; also many friends.  

She was preceded in death by several uncles and her cousin; she dearly missed her Siberian Husky Phantom.

Visitation will be from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m.  Tuesday July 9, 2024 at Anderson Funeral Home in DeKalb.
